I watched the first season of this like a week ago and its legitimately good. It kind of ran out of steam a bit towards the end and every once in a while, Tina Fey would throw in an awful political reference, but it was more good. Alec Baldwin is really great at comedy. Tracy Morgan was good as the dumb star of the show (though again it seemed like his plotlines became less interesting as the show went on) and Tina Fey's acting and writing were generally good. There were a couple of really hysterical moments.

"Seinfeld Vision" wasn't as bad as from what I heard. Even the Bee Movie plugs were better than I thought.
best part of "Jack gets in the game" was Werewolf Bar Mitzvah. Though Will Arnett was great as always.
Kenneth can be either funny or annoying, depending on what scene he's in. Dotcom is hilarious though.

I agree with this. Her relationship plots were boring for the most part (And Jack's relationship too). Although I do think Dennis>Floyd.
I would've said Kenneth earlier but his plots in some of the later episodes were great. I do like Jack's assistant more than Kenneth.
The funniest part of the show is Tracy, and on occasions Jack. Frank and Dotcom are my favorite of the supporting cast.
Hopefully season 3 will be great and wont suck.

This episode was better the 2nd time.
Is it me or does Jack/Liz seem like an interesting coupling? Although that is something that I want to see only in the final episode. Which hopefully is years from now.
Also they spoiled the Tracy/jenna subplot from next week. Hopefully the Oprah/Aniston episodes wont' suck and they'll end up like the great Seinfeldvision episode. Steve Martin, you know will be a classic.

Also of note: Sources confirm to me exclusively that Mad Men star Jon Hamm is in advanced talks to do a multi-episode arc on 30 Rock.

I'm told Hamm, who presumably got bit by the 30 Rock bug last week while hosting Saturday Night Live, would be playing a potential love interest for Tina Fey. Word is he's Liz's neighbor.
Although Hamm's deal isn't done, my Rock-solid mole assures me that it's happening.
That would be great. He was great on SNL and he would be fine here. |
