Didn't Pirates cost like 450 million? They should have made it for cheap!

Fucking blows that Superman is tanking.  Pirates on the other hand is murdering everyone.

However, if it's dismal WOM keeps spreading it may end up being the next Matrix.  We'll see.

Superman should have waited until end of July, or even August.  Pirates has too much power and I think it was just a bad release date.

Nothing seems to be stoppping Pirates 2. I tshould be #1 for many more weeks.

Very surprised that Little Man did better than expected. Sadly it should be very profitable.

I was also surprised that You me Dupree underperformed a little. That seemed to be another comedy hit.

Next week, Lady in the Water should be a strong #2 while Monster house flops.

Ahnother solid week for Pirates.  think it'll be #1 for next week at least. Till Talledga Nights with will Ferrell comes out. I don't see Miami Vice as that big fo a threat.

I guess that means M Night Shalyman's name as a box-office draw are over.

In the next 2 weeks, they have The Ant Bully and The Barnyard out as CGI competiton. Boy they've really polluted the theaters with that crap. Monster House looks like the top draw out of that list.

Clerks II had a 5 mil budget so that should be very profitable I guess. Unless marketing is a factor since they had that big ad campaign.

I guess people are sick of Shyamalan. That and Lady didn't look very good. At a $75 million budget it'll be lucky to break even.

I think Clerks has the capacity to stay around the middle of the top 10 for a few weeks; it's not exactly a blockbuster and it'll probably get good word of mouth. It should do good.

Super Ex-Girlfriend flopped, heh.

Math wizzes at BOM are saying that SR has a chance to hit $200 million.  I think it ought to just to shut up the cockheads who turned on the movie for no good reason (looking at you G4).

Uma Thurman, looks like you don't get any dap for Kill Bill after all.  Back to the prep squad for you.

Actually, that's not fair.  The movie's premise is sound, but fucking Luke Wilson is not a leading man and the jokes involving him were of the variety I heard back on lame TV sitcoms of years past.  Way to waste a good opportunity WB.

M. Night, say goodnight if you can't reel in your own ego.

Pirates is doing boffo numbers.  The question is will be the Reloaded to POTC's Revolutions, or something more?

"The key to deciphering M. Night Shyamalan's fractured fairy tale, "Lady in the Water," is to remember that it is rooted in the ancient mythology of Stephen Colbert and "The Colbert Report." It is a warning to Mankind about the dire threat posed by ferocious topiary bears in America today, and a salute to the gigantic, soaring eagle who swoops in to rescue Wet Ladies from pitiless ursine jaws and claws. Colbert oughtta sue."

why are all these reviews so great

Miami Vice did well, though I don't see it as a big smash.

John Tucker did decent. Another teen hit this year,

Ant Bully flopped. That does not bode well for the Barnyard.

Next week, Talledga Nights should be #1.

Miami Vice had like a $100-125 million production budget, so it probably won't do that well in the long run.

I don't know what inspired Michael Mann to make it now. =\

A bigger than expected gross for Talledga Nights. It'll be at the top next week, though in 2 weeks, SNAKES ON A PLANE will take over.

The Barnyard doing well surprises me, since I figured that the avalanche of CGI films released this summer would've turned people off, but I was wrong. It did better than expected. And it could hold up in the weeks to come, since thankfully there's no other CGI films out this summer.

I thought the Descent would do well, but it didn't. Perhaps it if was released in the fall, it could've done better.

Step Up did better than expected. It almost was #1. I guess these crappy dance movies must have a huge audience.

WTC did good I guess. Time will tell if it declines slowly rather than huge declines, like many movies.

Next week Snakes on a Plane should be the runaway #1.

A couple friends of mine and I went to see World Trade Center. When the plane hit the building, Matt stood up and started the slow clap. Before anyone could yell at us, the rest of us stood up and joined in. The looks of horror we recieved were delicious!

'm still baffled by the huge flop, Snakes on a Plane. I guess its internet hype. By next week, Little Miss Sunshine and even Accepted will pass it in terms of total gross. And that's downright odd.

I'm not surprised by Invincible at the top. Most of thse type movies (inspirtaional football movies) do well. I guess that means Gridion Gang with the Rock should be a hit too.

Corrado, you forget that most people don't buy into Internet fads even though many people have heard of them.  For instance, do you expect people to start watching Walker: Texas Ranger or other Chuck Norris movies just because they spout off those retarded jokes?

Snakes wasn't going anywhere if all it was going to ride was some Internet fad shit.

what a crappy weekend. Only thing of note I have is how The Barnyard is still in the top 10 after more than a month of release. it's hung in there while most of the other CGI movies have faded fast.

Pretty much a weak week at the boxoffice.

Everyone's hero and Last Kiss flopped. Though Black dahlia did a little better than i expected.

Hollywoodland and The Black Dahlia, each of which follow Hollywood's most notorious unsolved mystery.
