http://www.theyshootpictures.com is a cool website I like it. This list is basically a culmination of different critics list to give an "objective" ranking (or as close as possible to one) and most of you know this because like 7 people post here and I've told this to most of them. This method is interesting because it just results in a mish-mash of all sorts of stuff! There's actually 250 but this is the top 100! I'm p. much posting this just cause I want a reference for it but you can post about it if you like! Thanks, Joe 1. In the Mood for Love 2. Mulholland Dr. 3. Yi yi 4. What's Yi Yi? Is Jackie Chan or Jet Li in it? If not, I don't really care and you don't have to answer the first question.

I didn't realize why I liked Jackie Chan's movies so much until I watched some of Buster Keaton's.

While most stuntmen think their action stars, Jackie Chan realized that he's a glorified pratfaller with better agility.

On 18 April 2009, during a panel discussion at the annual Boao Forum for Asia titled "Tapping into Asia's Creative Industry Potential," Chan said "...in the 10 years after Hong Kong's return to Chinese rule, I can gradually see, I'm not sure if it's good to have freedom or not." Chan went on to say, "If you're too free, you're like the way Hong Kong is now. It's very chaotic. Taiwan is also chaotic." He also added, "I'm gradually beginning to feel that we Chinese need to be controlled. If we're not being controlled, we'll just do what we want." fucking commie

Looking at this list again, I see a lot of movies that I liked but I wouldn't put anywhere near the top 25 of the decade. Stuff like The Hurt Locker, Pan's Labyrinth, Brokeback Mountain, Y Tu Mama Tambien, 4 Months 3 Weeks 2 Days, hell even Million Dollar Baby probably (though I haven't seen it since mid-2005) are not top 25 of the 2000s material.
And I didn't even enjoy A History of Violence, Punch Drunk Love and Far from Heaven so ... definitely not
But it's probably just a matter of personal taste because there are also plenty of films (especially later on in the list) that I would say are deserving. Besides Dear Zachary, which is the best documentary I've ever seen, I'd choose Grizzly Man to represent documentaries on such a list. Stuff like No Country for Old Men, There Will Be Blood and The Departed were undoubtedly brilliant. Stuff like Almost Famous and Memento are already cult classics. Amores Perros is a great film that probably should have the spot that Y Tu Mama Tambien has, all the way up the list.

Both are really good but I found the story behind Treadwell and Herzog's style more interesting than Jesus Camp's (but again it was p. good)
