I can't believe the Mets cut Pedro... Stupid! They're so stupid!

As much as I like to pile on the Mets, there's a couple things consider here:

- Pedro's contract w/ the Mets was up in '08.  He wasn't cut.
- Pedro didn't throw a single pitch in the majors until August 12th.  The Mets were already toast by then.
- Even if he had been healthy, I doubt Pedro would be effective over an entire season.

For what the Phillies paid, Pedro was an excellent late season pick-up, but that's it.  I don't expect to see him on the roster in 2010.
