Vinnie likes the fat ladies cause when they dress scantily, there's more skin to show.

That's gross but funny enough that I'm going to steal it for use in real life. Thanks.

I went with two friends to see The Room at the Belcourt theater on Friday night. There turned out to be like 20 other people from our school there to see it, too. It was truly the moviegoing experience of a lifetime.

We happened to be sitting right in front of the loudest people in the audience, and while they were funny sometimes it would have been nice if they'd just shut up now and then. It was fun, though. Every time stock footage of San Francisco was used as an establishing shot (i.e. pretty much every 5 minutes) we all shouted "Meanwhile, in San Francisco...!", asked new characters who weren't actually introduced "Who the fuck are you?!", yelled at people to close the damn door, reminded Lisa of her mother's advice that she did things "Because you're a woman!", and other such stupidity. Probably my own best contribution was "I brought this tape recorder all the way from eastern Europe", meh.

The turnout was high enough that there's a decent chance that showing The Room here is going to become a regular event. Oh joy.

Finally saw this at a midnight showing (oddly enough with some cousins)

Fantastic, totally lived up to the hype. Still digesting it.

Asked if he thought it was a good investment to spend so much of his own money in a two-way Democratic primary to run against a popular Republican with millions in campaign cash, Greene replied: “Rather than just save the $10,000 and just go and buy gasoline with it, just take [it] and just be unemployed for [an] even longer period of time, I mean, that wouldn’t make any sense, um, just, um, but, uh, yes, uh … lowering these gas prices … that will create jobs, too. Anything that will lower the gasoline prices. Offshore drilling, the energy package, all that.”

The best part is that the badness is so dialogue based. While there's some shitty shots and obviously the editing is terrible and the use of stock footage is overwhelming, it's more that the characters, plotlines and general behavior is so poorly written, so outside the scope of human life, that it's simply amazing. The performances range from bad to terrible with Wiseau taking the cake but I think Daniel Day-Lewis couldn't pull truth out of this script.

I was reading Wikipedia about the various plotlines that weren't followed up on and I started laughing again.
