STRAIGHT EDGE MEANS I'M BETTER THAN YOU

I just thought I would mention that the season premiere was very funny. There were points where they would fire off a barrage of jokes that would all hit the mark.

I think its hilarious (and perhaps unimaginative writing) to do the exact same friggin storyline with Dwight and Angela. Like not just "office romance that is pseudo-serious." It has now gone into "female committed to engagement with man she doesn't love" phase. The twist? Well I guess the action isn't all on whether Dwight and Angela are right for each other but whether Angela will call off the engagement. If/when I guess.

I actually thought bringing back Ryan was a masterstroke. That just opens up a ton of possibilities.

This season of the Office has been very disappointing. Hopefully next week is the end of Holly. I'm sure Amy Ryan is a great actress, but she does not fit the mold of this show.

Its getting to the point where the highlight of the show is the Jim/Pam stuff. And even this week was disappointing because of how abrupt the scene changed from Jim/Roy to Jim going to the city. I thought they would do more with Roy being mad but nothing came of it (for now.)

So basically 30 Rock will be the highlight of Must See Thursdays now thanks to this season of the Office.

I actually completely disagree. I think Jim/Pam has been boring ever since they got together at the end of Season 3 and now they are trying to flail to create a conflict between the two (while really not?).

I feel like Michael Scott has been the strength of this season, and this is from someone who used to say the love affairs were the central part of the show. I actually think the Holly character is cute, albeit, yes, out of place for this show.

I loved tonight's episode, but I wonder how they will end this Dwight/Angela/Andy thing. It's like Jim/Pam/Roy except they are giving very little reasoning for why Angela is staying around, not enough I'd say.

I could not get into the Dwangela triangle. It really goes into different directions that confuse the viewer. And Phylis has been really annoying about this too. Her character was very unsympathetic in this episode, particarly about the hugs.

And Ryan hasn't done much since returning. He's been a prop basically the past couple of weeks. Hopefully him and Toby when he returns will liven up this show.

This was actually the best Office of the season minus the sappy Michael/Holly stuff, though it was nice to see Darryl get some screentime.

The Dwight/Andy feud stole the show. Great stuff.

Although the opening was the best part with half the Office as Jokers.

Yeah I liked it, though I'm disappointed to see Holly (probably) leave the show. It seems premature and awkward to me.

Jim/Pam is progressing so smoothly. Where is the plot?

The Toby stuff was good. But the Jim/Pam saga got annoying this episode with the ending being very sappy and not really that funny.

They also didnt resolve what happened to the microwave.

I gotta be honest -- I thought the Jim/Pam ending was such a copout. They set it up as -- at last -- some sort of conflict in the past 1 1/2 years of this show but no, she loved the house and there goes that

When thinking about the Pam character, I think that when she was separate from Jim, during most of season 3, she was the most interesting. Even when she was stuck in NY earlier this season, that was mildly more interesting. But her first episode back in the office, her character was so freaking boring. I couldn't identify any character arc at all

The Toby stuff was good tho, yes

I don't like Meredith.

Therefore I didn't like this episode. Not much humor here. Dwight was the lone saving grace.

Yeah ... probably the worst Christmas episode. This actually felt kind of like a 22-minute webisode or something. It's like they stretched a plot that went nowhere for way too long.

I had a feeling we were supposed to revel in Phyllis being in charge but I just thought she was a bitch.

On the plus side, Dwight was pretty good and they finally progressed the Angela plot for the first time in episodes.

I also liked Creed's line about hooking up Dwight with a license in an hour.

Some of it was OK, but a lot of it was meh. So basically Angela is with neither Andy nor Dwight now.

I did like Andy screaming about bears during "the duel." in the parkinglot.

I liked tonight's episode more than the Super Bowl night episode. One of the better ones I've seen in a while.

the Andy plot was one of the better Andy plots yet.

And the ending was the best Office ending this season.

This wasn't as good as the last two, but it was still okay.

I am really sick and tired of Jim and Pam having the perfect life here. Karen was a great conflict and now that was crushed for no freaking reason. What was the point of that?

At least the ending gives me hope that one of the freshest things about this season (Amy Ryan) is coming back at least for one episode.

This was a pretty good episode minus the cat plot.

I liked Pam acting Michaelish. And seeing one of the Human Giant guys as Holly's boyfriend.

Also, I wouldn't mind seeing more Jim/Dwight "buddy" episodes.

This was a great episode. Angela really shone in this episode with her cat plot, which allowed her to be more cheery than usual to a bizarre turn.

Pam had one of, if not THE scene of the season when she attempted to continue Michael's presentation. It was amazing and I laughed throughout. I always enjoy Michael/Pam storylines because it really brings out the soft side of Michael, and I really like how this has continued. I felt like the Holly thing was killed off too quickly.

The Jim/Dwight storyline also allowed for a few laughs. Everything worked in this episode.

This was a good episode. I think this season is better than last season.

Unrelated note: Parks and Recreation looks good. I think it was a good idea to abandon the "Office spinoff" idea and just create a new show that appeals to the same audience.

Also where the hell is Andy? He's like disappeared since the Dwight/Andy/Angela thing hit its climax.

This episode was fan freaking tastic. I've complained before about how Jim is too perfect so this brought him down several pegs, and it was just funny. Then there's the new boss who should mess up the entire dynamic. Good, good stuff.

This episode was hit or miss. The shots of Pam throughout the episode looking worried pretty much gave away would who leave with Michael. Still the ending was intruging enough to make me wait two weeks.

That was probably Meredith's funniest line in the whole show.

Also way to go commercials for spoiling a big return.

I've been defending this show up to this point and even I got some shark-jumping vibes from this episode, especially the ending.

Also, it bothers me that I don't like Miner despite him being the most competent person at that office.

It felt like some of the character reactions were odd. Jim's reaction certainly was strange. Why wasn't he sad that she wouldn't be around anymore and more baffled that she was doing what she was? It seemed like the office didn't care both of them were leaving for the most part, which is fun for humor but is incongruous with what you'd expect based on past history.

That said, I'm very interested in how this goes. Overall I like this season. It's still not up to seasons 1-3 in my mind but it's more interesting than season 4 was most definitely.

Also while it seems like Pam's decision comes mostly out of nowhere, it's really good that she's doing this because her character had basically resigned herself to a life of nothingness after art school didn't work out

I found it a bit OOC of Angela to fawn all over Minor. Meredith would've someone more logical.

Also at the end for a second, as Pam and Michael were walking away, you could see Pam regret what she just did.

You know when Michael called Prince Paper Company? Was that the company that they stole the client list from? Also, I think its kinda obvious that Michael is going to end up back in the office in a couple of episodes.
